Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Yapy.ai (“Yapy”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account you agree to them. If you’re using Yapy on behalf of a company, you’re confirming you have the authority to bind that company to these Terms.

Yapy learns your writing voice from sources you provide (a website, past posts, connected platforms, a questionnaire), watches signals you opt into (shipped GitHub work, audience engagement, research), and proposes and drafts platform-native content for you to review. Where a platform’s API allows it, and only for connections you approve, Yapy can also publish or schedule content on your behalf. See our Privacy Policy for what data that involves.

You’re responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for safeguarding your login credentials. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use Yapy.

Yapy is offered as a paid monthly subscription, billed through our payment processor, Polar. Fees are charged at the start of each billing period and are non-refundable except where required by law. You can cancel at any time from Settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you retain access until then. We may change pricing going forward, and will give you reasonable notice before any change applies to you.

When you connect a third-party platform (Bluesky, LinkedIn, X, Reddit, YouTube, TikTok, Threads, Instagram, or GitHub), you authorize Yapy to interact with it on your behalf within the scope of the permissions you grant, and within the limits that platform’s API actually allows. You remain responsible for complying with that platform’s own terms of service — Yapy is a tool you direct, not a substitute for your own judgment about what you post.

Some platforms don’t offer API publishing at all. Where that’s the case (for example, Reddit), Yapy prepares the content and hands it to you — a copy-ready draft, or a pre-filled link into that platform’s own composer — for you to publish yourself. Yapy never submits content to a platform through a channel that platform hasn’t made available for that purpose.

Manual approval is the default for every connected platform: nothing publishes until you approve it. You may enable automatic publishing (“auto-approve”) independently per platform. If you do, drafts that reach an approved state will publish at their scheduled time without further review from you. You are responsible for content published under auto-approve, and you can turn it off at any time.

If you connect a GitHub repository, you’re granting Yapy read-only access (metadata, contents, and pull requests) to the repositories you explicitly select, for the purpose of generating content ideas and drafts. You can revoke this access at any time from GitHub or from Yapy’s Connections screen. See our Privacy Policy for how repository data — including optional diff reading — is handled.

You retain ownership of everything you provide to Yapy (your website content, past posts, voice profile, and any edits you make to drafts) and of the posts Yapy generates for you. You grant us a limited license to process that content — including sending relevant parts of it to our AI provider — solely to provide the service to you.

AI-generated content is a starting point, not a guarantee. Drafts are produced by a language model based on your voice profile and the signals available to it. You’re responsible for reviewing any draft before it publishes — for accuracy, tone, and appropriateness — whether that review happens through manual approval or through the judgment you exercised when you turned auto-approve on.

You agree not to use Yapy to:

• Generate or publish unlawful, defamatory, or infringing content.
• Spam, or post in a way that violates a connected platform’s own rules.
• Attempt to access another account’s data, circumvent rate limits or usage quotas, or interfere with the service’s normal operation.
• Use your GitHub connection for anything beyond generating content ideas from your own selected repositories.
• Resell or provide the service to third parties without our written consent.

You may stop using Yapy and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, including the acceptable use rules above. Where practical, we’ll give you notice and a chance to fix the issue first.

Yapy is provided “as is” and “as available.” We don’t guarantee that content generated by the service will be error-free, that it will increase your engagement or following, or that any third-party platform’s API will remain available or unchanged. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Yapy will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to Yapy will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. We’ll update the date at the top of this page, and for material changes, we’ll notify you by email or an in-app notice before they take effect.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction in which Yapy is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, except where local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
